Trueglide nonstick soleplate
This feature is one of the most improved standards in Black and Decker technology. True glide accelerates the ironing process providing with a smoother glide over most clothing. The nonstick soleplate comes with an internal element that is located in the middle of the soleplate for better heat exposure.
3 Way-auto off
This uniquely used feature in all steam irons of the 21st. century is a safety precaution that can help decrease accidental burns to kids in the near vicinity when you’re on the job of ironing. This system works flawlessly whenever the iron is unused. The automatic shut off feature activates within 8 minutes of unattended when in a vertical position and 30 seconds when not used on the horizontal position and the sides.
Cord reel
To make this model more compact Black and Decker manufactured this model with a cord reel for easy storage. The spring-loaded cord unwinds and retracts quickly for easy use and storage. When fully extended it’s about 94 inches. The length of the cord makes it possible for the ironer to move freely around the iron board.
Burst of steam
Burst is a huge improvement in most steam irons because this simplifies the ironing process. Ironing your clothes can be done on a hanger or if you prefer steaming out the wrinkles from your hanging grapes this should also not be a problem and only a quicker alternative.
Auto clean system
This elf help cleaning system provides you with valuable time without worrying about manually cleaning your iron. The auto-clean function can be triggered with a special knob in the middle of the iron which needs only to be pressed. When pressed a burst of steam will flow from the bottom of the soleplate.
Spray mist
The push-button mister applies the perfect amount of moisture for quick wrinkle removal and stubborn creases. This s is an excellent feature but it can lead to refilling the water more often.

Final Verdict
This is also a cheap steam iron like the Black and Decker Classic but what we’ve seen is that this model does not have the most impact performance-wise but it can still do the necessary job. For the short term, this steam iron might be a solution for those for don’t necessary funds to invest in an expensive model like the Rowenta DW9280 Steamforce which we’ve reviewed before.
But with all said and done this Black and Decker Vitessa Advanced STEAM Iron is maybe just what you need to iron all stubborn wrinkles out.
